Heart of the Holidays 2010: An Empty Stage

This original script tells the story of Edward Pennington, the director at the old Bentley Theatre. Ten years ago he lost his wife, Danae, the star of the theatre, in a tragic automobile accident, and now, his daughter, Grace, wants to perform on the stage like her mother did. Still unable to move on, Edward refuses to allow it. And now the theatre owner says he’s selling the building, Edward’s only link to his wife. But if he can find a starring act to make the Christmas Variety Show a success, he might be able to save the theatre. As he and his assistant, Keira, watch the auditions go from bad to worse, Edward becomes frantic. Will this Christmas season bring hope or a will it become a final reminder of all that he has lost? Edward meets Anna in this clip from An Empty Stage.
