Heart of the Holidays

Heart of the Holidays

Five years ago, Grace started a new Christmas tradition: presenting a dessert theater. The performances have been a mix of drama, singing and dancing to reflect the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus' birth and the joy and meaning that brings to our lives. View Photos 2007

Journey to the Manager, 2007 Heart of the Holidays Production

A sculptor of a Nativity scene, who thinks that Christmas is nothing more than a commercial venture centered on a far-fetched myth, is taken on a journey when he falls asleep in his studio on Christmas Eve. He is transported from the Depression Era, to Italy during the Renaissance, to the streets of England, then on to a simple church in Austria and finally to the manger. As a result of his journey, he begins to understand the joy, hope and love that Christ brought on that first Christmas.

Excerpts taken from the introduction by Kim Beyer-Johnson and David T. Clydesdale, creators of Journey to the Manger. 2004 Word Music, a division of Word Music Group, LLC.
