In John 15, Jesus explains to the Twelve that he is the true vine and they are the branches, and if they remain in him they will bear much fruit. He commands them to love each other as he as loved them, and warns them the world will hate them, as it hated him. Finally, Jesus tells them the Holy Spirit will testify about him, and they must testify about him as well since they were with him from the beginning.
