About Awana

Kids from Preschool (Age 4, *Must be potty trained) through 6th grade meet weekly on Wednesday nights from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, the first Wednesday after Labor Day through to the first Wednesday in May.

Children learn Bible Verses, play team games, and hear Bible stories. Awana equips children to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The name Awana is an acronym from 2 Timothy 2:15, “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.”

Cubbies is the preschool age group

Sparks is for kindergarten through second grade

Truth and Training (T&T) is for third through sixth grade

Awana Activities

Kids can earn points by participating in the theme of the week such as: Crazy Hair, Backwards, or Hawaiian Nights. Kids learn Bible verses at their own pace, earning Awana dollars and awards to display on their uniform. At the end of the club each year children who complete books receive ribbons or plaques. With their Awana dollars children can buy items such as: toys, candy, hats and shirts. Each year we have movie nights, game nights, the Awana Grand Prix, and more!
