The Living Hope of Easter - Sermon Recap
This Easter, we explored the foundational truth of our faith: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 15, we examined the overwhelming evidence for Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, and what it means for our lives today. The sermon reminded us that we need to be consistently reminded of the gospel - not just on Easter, but every day. We looked at how Jesus predicted His resurrection plainly, foreshadowed it through raising Lazarus, and how the biblical account uses logic that confirms its authenticity. Most importantly, we discovered that without the resurrection, our faith would be futile, our preaching senseless, and we would still be in our sins. But because Christ has been raised, we have hope - not just for this life, but for eternity. Takeaways:
The resurrection isn't just a historical event we celebrate once a year - it's the foundation of our daily hope. Because Jesus lives, death does not win. Because He conquered the grave, we can face our struggles, losses, and even our own mortality with confidence. Let's live this week remembering that we serve a risen Savior who has given us eternal life.
